WB help assured in arsenic-free water supply - 11 Oct 02

World Bank country director Frederic T Temple has assured necessary assistance in implementing projects for supplying arsenic-free drinking water through pipeline throughout the country. The assurance came when he called on LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan at his office in the city Thursday. Besides, Frederic Temple discussed matters of mutual interests with the Minister during the meeting. Local Government Secretary AYBI Siddiqui, World Bank environment expert Paul J Martin and adviser Shubrata Dhar were present on the occasion, said an official release.- UNB
